Where can we check events related to invoice?

Problem Statement

You want to know where can we check events related to invoice.

Solution

This article covers:

How to filter events for different resource types.

APIs to retrieve the required events.

Any changes that occur to the resources(subscriptions, customers, invoices) are logged as events in Chargebee. Each event is logged with a JSON of the resources details that can be used to track changes that occurred in your Chargebee account.

You can check events related to invoices to help understand when or why the invoices were generated or updated.

Events relating to your customers and subscriptions are logged under the events tab in the web interface. These events are available under the Logs Menu(Logs > Events), as in the screenshot below.

To filter invoice related events, use the Filter button and select the required invoice related events as in the screenshot.

APIs for retrieving events:

Chargebee also offers APIs to retrieve events.

  • Retrieve an event API - to retrieve a specific event

  • List Events API - to retrieve a list of events, this allows you to filter the required list of events
